We were meeting at a local school when Covid hit and shut us down. For a year we live streamed from the pastor's home. God led us to The Gate OC where we have found our new home. Thank God for The Gate and their kindness and hospitality. We love it here! 

During our search for a meeting place, we had worship services outdoors at a park for almost a year. After experiencing the overwhelming heat of the summer and the strong winds of the colder months, God allowed us to get connected to The Gate. The members of The Gate understood our situation and needs as a new church plant, and welcomed us to share the facility. We look forward to seeing how God will bless The Gate to fulfill its vision and continue being a blessing to others in the community. 

The events of early 2020 left Encounter Church without a home. We had been meeting at a local elementary school that was shut down during the pandemic. However, where one door closed another one opened. The week of Easter 2021 The Gate moved in right next door to our church offices and The Lord started His work. Encounter had been meeting for the previous year in a backyard. While we loved the setting and it was wonderful to be together with our church community, summer was coming and we needed an indoor space.  We began to work with The Gate on a plan. They have been gracious and opened handed from the very start. We have again been able to meet with our full congregation, full worship team, Sunday school, youth group, community events and meals. The Gate has been such a blessing to us. 

It’s truly a blessing for Beacon Community Church to start our ministry here at The Gate.  God is putting us together to expand His kingdom in Mission Viejo and the nearby area.  It’s never easy to start a new church, but with the Gate walking alongside, we feel like having a big brother there helping us crawl and walk!
